Hey how are you doing? How has your week been?

I honestly had to look at my previous blog to see what I last posted. A few things have happened since I last blogged, not a lot but a few things.

My friend from my gap year came for a “flying visit” which was really nice, we went to the typical school trip/tourist places but I am an excellent tour guide… I think?

We ate some good food and caught up with each other, even found a photobooth and like children we went and got a strip of photos each (we did however forget the majority of our poses).

As you all know I have been applying for jobs here, there and everywhere. I haven’t had much progress but yesterday I got a response, I’ve been invited for an interview in a weeks time.

The only thing is there is currently a train stike so I’ll be doing a 6 hour roadtrip… not ideal but worth a shot right? I wasn’t expecting a response let alone an interview!

I met up with a lady from my home church last week (I think) we found out we hadn’t met up since November 2019. It’s a bit insane to think about that. Obviously we couldn’t meet up in 2020 since it was the pandemic, then I moved away in 2021 and was away for most of this year to.

It was really nice catching up with her and filling her in with all the situations I’ve been in over the past couple years. To be honest I was a bit worried about meeting up with her, I was scared it would be really awkward for some reason. It wasn’t awkward at all though which was good.

In a couple weeks time I’ll be travelling back down to where I had my gap year to visit people at the church. I’m actually so excited, I can’t wait to be around my support bubble again and the friends I made over the year.

I’ve been shooting out messages to people asking if they’ll be around, I feel like I’m back at school again! You know when you would deny being excited about going back but you where secretly excited to see your friends? Except it really is no secret how excited I am…

Another thing I should probably mention, I started to write again. I have a book out on an app. There is only four chapters uploaded, I feel a little bit stupid mentioning it I guess? If you do want to read something more on a creative side from me, let me know and I’ll add/send you a link?

I feel weird talking about this on here considering I write a lot about my personal thoughts, where as writing stories is a creative outlet for me? I don’t know if that makes sense.

To end this very weird patchy blog post, I have a random request for you… please send me some music recs and book recs. I need some new music to listen to and new books!
