Hello everyone I hope you are well and doing ok.

A few days ago I turned 22. I did mean to write a blog on my birthday but I was busier then I thought I was going to be. I wasn’t really expecting to do anything other then an evening meal, I guess I was wrong!

We went on a really lovely Autumnal walk, the weather was beautiful which never really happens on my birthday. It usually pours down with rain… but this year, the sun was low and it was crisp, not to cold but a little bit chilly. I really enjoyed it, we also had lunch out which was really tastey. I ate a lot that day to be honest.

There was more food in the evening, a few drinks and it was just so lovely. I was super tired after the day and I fell asleep pretty quickly! The following day I met up with a friend from my gap year, it was again, very lovely! We had good chats, shopped and had some nice food.

I feel very content at the moment which I haven’t really felt for awhile to be honest. We’re visiting people from my gap year this weekend which I am rather looking forward to. I still haven’t made any progress on the job front unfortunately, I had a very encouraging conversation with someone from my home church yesterday.

I really needed that I think. I didn’t know I did but…

My bedroom is currently in the process of being redecorated, it hasn’t been decorated since I was either 12 or 14? Long time coming really. I had to empty all my stuff out of the room and it was quite sad really. The room just looked so, bare and empty, the room even echoed… I picked quite, earthy colours which will be a drastic change from the awful bright pink and purple flower wallpaper I did have!

I have made a few jokes about why my mother allowed me to do that to my room. It’ll be nice to have a nicely decorated room, that is more adult woman and less 14 year old girl! I’ll be getting a few new bits of funiture, which I’m not really looking forward to. I really hate flat pack furniture…
