On the last blog post I mentioned I would upload my personal story of faith and loss, that will be coming soon but I really need to think about how to write it, I hope you understand! Anyway today’s blog post is going to be a lot more light hearted, enjoy.
Hello everyone! How are you today? How has your week been? What have you been up to? Let me know!
Today (as I write this) I attended a job fair. In case you are new to my blog, I am currently unemployed and have been job hunting since August 2022… I have a work coach assigned to me and I have applied for all kinds of jobs. As you can imagine/probably know, job hunting is not the most exciting thing a person can do!
I was a bit worried about going along and it being a waste of time, I know my optimism is to be admired – it however was incredibly helpful. I had some good conversations and I feel a lot better knowing I am able to do what I would like to do, with my experience and not everywhere is looking for amazing grades.
During the fair I gained a rather nice collection of freebees which is always a bonus! I’ve flicked through a couple of the brochures and did a bit of research around the companies/agencies that where there today. One of the companies I have to say has really caught my eye…
The people on the stall were nice and clear with what they do, who they are, opportunities etc. I also found out there are other offices around different cities. It all looks very positive at the moment but we’ll see!
I suspect I’ll be recieving lots of emails of information or calls to organise interviews etc. When I left the fair, my brain was a little bit overwhellmed with information. I had to wander round a shop to distract my brain! When I was walking back home, my head was still pretty full (still is) I almost want to sit in silence and stare at the wall to give my brain a break.
I’m feeling way more positive about job stuff now, which is nice. A lot of the companies I chatted with said I would be able to start immediately, it might possibly be the best news I have had in months! I have the relevent experience, documentation and transportation sorted.
For the first time in months I can feel myself finally decompressing about the job situation. Alongside these jobs I will be able to learn, get qualifications and be paid! I will be having a routine, plus weekends off and I just feel like things are finally falling into place.
Hopefully this time in a couple weeks, I’ll be working! God’s timing is epic, prayers would still be appreciated though! On top of all this, this blog is growing which makes me so happy. So, if you are a new reader/subscriber thankyou for the support! Obviously thankyou to those who have been regular readers, you are appreciated!
I’ll keep you updated about all this, thankyou for reading, stay safe!
